Throughout the Vancouver 2010 Olympics, some Atlantans viewed curling and wondered why grown women and men were playing what made an appearance to become shuffleboard on ice, Shaun Williams and the then 18-year-old boy Maxwell made the decision to test getting the game to Georgia. Though they’d never touched a curling stone, they produced a Facebook group to locate other people who, like them, “thought it looked fun.” Under 2 yrs later, they’ve unearthed nearly 400 local curling enthusiasts (from middle schoolers to seniors), began holding regular Learn how to Curl occasions, and be the only real curling club in Georgia.
